Oh, Propaganda, congratulations!
I send to you dearest adulations.
For through you, the most innocent has been dubbed.
You were used by the great Roman leaders.
Deception laid out by Julius Caesar,
Polluting the minds with his agenda.
The Spanish Armada knew your mendacious tricks.
-The great vice of Queen Elizabeth's politics.
They used false, slanderous pamphlets and letters.
A College of Propaganda was set up.
The heathen ways they planned to clean up.
Directed by Pope Urban the VIII.
You influenced the French Revolution.
Voltaire and Rousseau played a contribution,
As they opposed France's Bourbon Rule.
Gandhi arrested for the things he taught
Like civil disobedience and boycotts.
His use of you got him jailed and shot.
Hitler's propaganda beguiled a nation,
As the Germans blindly followed his dictation.
Because of you, millions of lives were lost.
Religions thrive because of the use of you.
You tell them what's evil and what's true.
Blindly, they construct their lives from your word.
Today, most opinions you've shaped.
Your influence everywhere has never escaped.
Cleverly drafted, you rule the world.
