 ASTRAY

I lost myself,

As I chased a dream,

A dream filled with deceptive steam.

I deceived myself,

As I closed my eyes,

Eyes clouded by a web of lies.

I lied to myself,

As I sold my soul,

A soul tarnished as black as coal.

I tarnished myself,

As I gave my will,

A will chained to the forbidden thrill.

I chained myself,

As I lost my way.

A way and soul that has gone astray.
